The Therapy Dog Program is dedicated to training, evaluating, and certifying individuals and their dogs as therapy dog teams. These teams provide companionship and interaction for children, adults, and seniors in various environments, including schools, rehabilitation centers, hospice care, courthouses, library reading programs, assisted living facilities, the VA, counseling sessions, and more.
As the demand for pet therapy grows, there is an increasing need for more therapy dog teams.
Brave Buddy Service Pups, recognized by the American Kennel Club as a therapy dog organization, has played a significant role in expanding therapy dog programs.
The organization does not charge for therapy dog visits, as all handlers and their dogs volunteer their time. As a 501(c)(3) charitable organization run entirely by volunteers, BBSP relies on tax-deductible donations and contributions.
BBSP encourages all registered therapy dog teams to volunteer at least two hours per month.
