Service Dogs - Service Dog Training - SPECIALIZING in PTSD
Brave Buddy Therapy Dog Program focuses on training, evaluating, and qualifying individuals and their dogs as therapy dog teams. These teams visit and interact with children, adults, and seniors in various settings, providing support and companionship.
The demand for pet therapy continues to increase, highlighting the need for more therapy dog teams. Brave Buddy Service Pups is recognized by the American Kennel Club as a therapy dog organization and has contributed to the expansion of therapy dog programs.
The organization does not charge for therapy dog visits; all handlers and their dogs participate as volunteers. As an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) charitable organization, BBSP relies on contributions and donations, which are tax deductible.
We aim for all registered therapy teams to spend at least 2 hours each month volunteering with BBSP.
Based on the number of therapy dog visits you and your dog complete, you’ll receive two copies of a certificate and a small recognition item for each level. You can apply for therapy dog titles through the American Kennel Club (AKC) by submitting one certificate copy to the AKC and keeping the other for your records. There are six title levels, from Novice to Supreme, depending on the number of visits. The AKC tracks all submissions and awards titles based on the total visits submitted.
